Fruits do not get us fat, even if they have fructose

Healthy diet

"A healthy life is the hardest thing," said at a press conference in Sibiu, Prof.univ.dr. Romulus Timar, president of the Romanian Society of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, quoted by Mediafax.

This was completed by Alexandra Simu, a nutritionist who said there was no guarantee that eating healthy and doing sports would get rid of the "disease of the century" and of diabetes.

"There is no guarantee that if we eat healthy and do sports we will not do diabetes because the genetic factor influences. But even if there is a genetic field that predisposes to diabetes, preventing or delaying its appearance depends on the way we eat and have a healthy lifestyle. All excesses should be avoided. Ultimately, moderation is the word of order. There is no food related to the occurrence or definitely related to prevention. I think the little baby should start with fewer sweets. My mother does not teach him that there are sweets in this world, I'm not a prize, I'm not a reward, if the baby is good to give her a chocolate, but we should cultivate the taste for healthy, less processed and teaching the child to play again not at the computer or on the phone, but doing outdoor activities, sports activities, because if it is easier to create habit, then in adult life, keep it " said Dr. Simu.

Asked to what age the child should not receive any sweets at all, Alexandra Simu replied: "Until she does not ask for herself to see her kindergarten colleague."

"Sweet consumption is recommended in small quantities. The recommendation is not to offer more than 10% of the daily calories in the form of processed sweets, which means 2 to 3 bombons, 2-3 tablets of chocolate or a smaller cake without much cream. Neither is the feeling of frustration good, "the doctor added.

According to the nutritionist, it is the scales that tell us that we eat or not.

"In principle, natural foods, with no added sugar, no soft drinks, less processed foods are recommended. Eventually the scales tell us if we have a proper lifestyle, because once it starts to increase weight, it is a sign of an alarm and then steps must be taken to stop the weight gain and the appearance of all the diseases that come. It is not just type 2 diabetes, it is also cardiovascular disease and even some neoplasmic disorders that sometimes occur more frequently in obese patients. That's why prevention is so important, "said the doctor.

Alexandra Simu has abolished the myth of fatty "fattening" fruits because they have sugars.

"Fruits contain starch. The amount of plain free carbohydrates that is in the fruit content is small. For example, an apple has about 12 grams of carbohydrates, of which about 10 grams are starch, that is, that complex glucose which is absorbed more slowly and only one gram is free glucose and fructose, which means that sweet taste makes us believe that the fruits are not recommended. But it is a myth. It is completely erroneous. Fruits are indicated because they bring in addition to having complex carbohydrates that are healthy, they bring vitamins, minerals, fibers. I say aloud: Yes, the fruits are indicated! ", Said the specialist doctor.

Reputant leaders of international diabetology and related specialties participate in Sibiu at the 45th National Congress of the Romanian Society of Diabetes Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases.

Aveti nevoie de o dieta echilibrata, cum se si spune in articol; in acest articol se spune ca consumul de fructe nu ingrasa, ci nu faptul ca trebuie sa mancam doar fructe pentru a slabi
